How to I Subscribe to Channels?
All you have to do is go to the explore channels menu and find the star/talent/celebrity you are looking for, click their image and then simply click unlock, its that easy.
How do I Talk to Talent/Celebrities
To talk to a star/talent/celebrity all you have to do is register for one of their two way conferences. Then you’ll be able to ask them the questions you’ve always wanted to know
Why did I get Kicked From a Live Conference?
To ensure that Padlokt is community friendly, there are a set of guidelines that we ask all participants to follow when engaging in a live conference room. When these guidelines are breached the person responsible for the breach is removed to ensure that the conference is suitable for all people.
Can I Upgrade or Downgrade my account at Any Time?
Yes. You can add or remove channels to your Premium account at anytime (fees applied depend on your monthly billing cycle).
What Happens at the End of my Trial?
You can subscribe for Premium access and pay via credit card or Paypal, after which your trial account details will be transferred to a Premium account.
Is the 30 Day Free Trial Really for Free?
Yes. No credit card is required, you will get access to experience PADLOKT (with some limits placed on the premium offering)
When Do I Get Billed?
You will be at the start of each month for that monthly billing cycle
If I Cancel a Channel at the Start of the Month Will I Still Get Charged?
Unfortunately yes, you will be charged at the start of each month for the month that follows, so if you wish to remove a channel and not get charged we advise that you unsubscribe to that channel before your next billing period. However, if you do choose to unsubscribe to a channel after the billing month has started you will still have access to that channel until the month's end.
Who Can See the Questions I Submit?
Only the talent, the talents channel admin and the moderator of the channel are able to view your questions prior to the start of a conference call.
How Long Does a Conference Call Go For?
The conferences go for at least 30 minutes and at most 5 hours. But you will always know prior to the
Conference call how long it will go for.
How are Participants Selected in a Conference Call?
That is down to the talent, the talents channel admin and the moderator of the channel. They will select
participants based off the questions that each person submits.
How do I Know if I’ve Been Selected to Participate in a Conference Call and What do I do if I am?
You will receive an email through the email address attached to your account, in that email it will tell you that you have been selected to participate in the event. Then prior to the commencement of the event you will receive a secondary email with a link that will take you to the page where your conference call will take place.
Will I be Recorded?
Yes! All conference calls are streamed live and recorded for archiving purposes on the talents channel so you can watch your favourite moments in the future and always have proof that you spoke to your favourite celebrity.
How do I get on a Conference Call?
If you have been selected to participate in a conference call you can either access it by clicking on the link in the email that we will send you, or by clicking on the tile of the event that you have been accepted to participate in. This tile can either be found by going directly to the page of the celebrity you wish to speak to or by clicking it in the carousel on your homepage when it appears.
I Can’t get onto the Conference Call, What do I do?
Firstly, what browser are you using? Currently our preferred browser is Chrome as Chrome works best with hosting and providing video calls, so where possible we suggest downloading and using Chrome. We do support most other browser services, but currently we are having some trouble with Safari, so until we have fixed that problem we suggest not using Safari for Conference Calls. Secondly, do you have a working camera and microphone attached to your computer? If not, you’ll need to attach them as you won’t be able to participate without a camera or a microphone. If you do, but you are still having trouble, make sure that your browser allows or has approved the use of your camera and microphone within the platform. Finally, how is your internet connection? If you have a poor or weak internet connection you may find it difficult to connect or stay connected to the Conference Call, so please make sure you are always near the best internet connection you can get.
